It was a magical day. Even though we were surrounded with family, Kevin and I felt like we were in a little bubble with our family of four. I can't even remember what people said or did when they were around me. Kevin and I knew that we wouldn't be in this scenario again. We were about to welcome our third and final child so we wanted to take it all in. It goes by in a flash.
The pregnancy was a difficult one compared to the others but we still soaked in the miracle of it all. I can honestly say that I don't want to do it again. My body doesn't want to do it again.
Dr. McGrath, who is an incredible doctor and friend, was able to deliver all three of my miracles. I was well taken care of by the sweet nurses at Mobile Infirmary as well. After having stayed in L&D twice for extended periods of time with kidney stones, I had gotten to know the nurses well. By the end of our stay, we knew their kids names, their interests, etc... They made our (Kevin never left my side), stay enjoyable, even when I was in pain. Dr. McGrath and the nurses deserve a huge THANK YOU!
So...after a VERY easy delivery (Thank you God), we were the blessed parents who were chosen to bring this little man home with us, a fact that I am in awe of every time I look at any of our three blessings.
