We're Baaaack!!

Obviously, I haven't kept up with the blog so I'm going to see if I can get started again. Beware, there are a lot of pictures. I think they got all jumbled up in the wrong places after I posted too. So, we will see. I don't know what I'm doing with this thing.

So much has happened that it is impossible to go back. Here are some highlights...

Potty trained Ava

Went to New York! CRAZY!

Came back to Ava with a broken or sprained ankle. Ended up in a cast during Christmas.

Moved Ava to a big girl bed

Kevin turned 30

NORA ASHLEY was born on February 19, 2009 (3 1/2 weeks early due to low fluid and a bad placenta)

Kevin spent 6 months at home without traveling! Wooo Hooo!

Cut my hair and donated it. Awesome feeling to be able to do that.

Baby dedication on Mother's Day.

Reunited with best friends from high school and youth group.

Ava and Nora got a new swingset.

We planted a tree in honor of Nora's birth.

Nora smiles all day, is on baby food already, is finally sleeping better at night, can roll over from her tummy to her back and I have gotten one giggle out of her.

Ava is an amazing big sister! She has not had any issues with sharing the attention and is a big helper.

I have made some pretty cool cakes that I'm proud of but don't do it often b/c it takes too much time.

I'm sure there are more that I can't think of right now.
Here are a few of our favorite pictures too.

Ava's 3rd birthday was so much fun! Kevin took the day off on her actual birthday (7/7) so we could do her favorite things. When she woke up, she tiptoed in our room and said, "Is it my birthday yet?" Adorable. We asked and she said, "I want doughnuts for breakfast, hot dog for lunch, ice cream, play with Mommy and see the fishies." So, she got her wish. We had doughnuts for breakfast. Then I took her to get her nails and toes painted. It was an excuse for me to get mine done too! She is so girly! She sat perfectly still. Then we all went to the Dew Drop for a hot dog. It is fun to go and remember my mom taking me when I was a little girl. We went to Old Dutch for ice cream. She had a blue mouth for the rest of the day. She always picks out the wildest color. On the way home, we stopped at B&B Pet Stop so she could look at the fish. She loves it and it is very cheap entertainment...FREE! She just stands in awe of all of them. Problem is...now she wants a pet. We may have to stop going to B&B! She made a birthday cake and was so proud. Licking the paddle is her favorite part...as it should be.

On Wednesay - she woke up and said, "Can today be my birthday too?" I'm guessing she liked having the day be all about her.

Ava's party was held at the fountain in Malbis on Thursday morning. I am proud of myself because I wasn't a wreck about it or try to do too much like I have in the past. I even let other people take pictures so that I could focus on Ava and enjoy the party. We had a lot of friends and neighborhood friends come to celebrate with us. Ava was more interested in the Dora decorations and presents. For weeks she has said, "People will bring me all the presents in the world." Hm...we may need to work on humility and giving a little bit more. We had a terrific time visiting with friends. I don't think there is a better thing to do than to watch children be children and having a good time.

Now, we are packing to go to Georgia for almost 2 weeks. Ava says, "Mommy, are we going to Georgia's house yet?" So cute! Campmeeting is next week but we go this week to do some fun things before it starts. We will go to the acquarium, gold panning, maybe a waterfall, shopping in Atlanta and way too much eating. I can't wait to get my hands on some Fred's Famous Peanuts from Helen.
